On Sunday, Sept 26th, 2009, several club members were in Portland with their 50's and 60's cars that were used as props for the filming of a movie called "Lost in the Future."  to be released in late 09 or early 2010.

Cars of note were an Edsel, a Thunderbird, two Impala's and a Falcon - (sounds more like a zoo)

On June 12, 2001, club members had the exciting opportunity to participate in the filming of a movie. The movie is named "China" and was being filmed in Williamston, using the historic Sun theatre, and an old church. China is a made for TV movie, funded by the Independent Television Service (a division of PBS). the film company is named Jazzy Tam Films, and is headquartered in East Lansing.

We were contacted with a request to supply several cars and a pickup truck that would be common from the period around 1957. We arrived with Dale Main's 57 Chevy, Jean Maday and the Fulks brought their 1957 T-Birds, Cecil McKay brought a 52 Ford pickup, and Mike and Ginger Sweet brought their 57 Olds. The drivers were asked to sign waivers, then sent to wardrobe to don period costumes.

The writer/director is Jeffrey Wray, who is on faculty at MSU, and is a partner in the company. Producer is E. Dominique Brown from LA, who has worked on many shows including The Drew Carey Show. Producer Tama Hamilton-Wray is a partner in the company.

The costumes ended up being button down shirts with ties, sweaters, and straw hats. The scene where the cars were used was during the time the "congregation" was leaving the church. Two cars were positioned in the church drive, two drove away from in front of the church, and the truck drove by as the congregation was leaving. We spent several hours with the crew and the actors during set-up and the shoot. Many glowing comments were made regarding our participation, and we will most likely be asked to participate in future movie shoots. Some movies with larger budgets will pay for our services.
