This is a photo of the only known Moxie car remaining. It's driven while sitting on the horse. The steering wheel protrudes through the horse's neck and there are brake and gas pedals on the sides. The car is based on a modified 1929 LaSalle. .  The Moxie Company is the oldest bottler of soft drinks in the US. Years ago they had a fleet of six of these cars which were used for parades and publicity.

One of our members is building a "Woodie" station wagon and while perusing the internet for ideas came across this artist who takes "Woodie" to the extreme.  He is also a fantastic artist with other subjects and you can view some more of his work at http://craftsmanshipmuseum.com/DeMarchi.htm  Everything is made entirely of wood!!!!!!  and the first photos are a Ferrari and a VW that are also an operational boat.  Next time you are in Venice, Italy stop by his studio.

Is this the ultimate DIYcompact car?

Well, I had this Cadillac that got about 10 MPG.  I heard that I would get better mileage if I reduced the extra weight of the car, so I took off the doors and sure enough I got better mileage, so I took off the fenders, still better, so I took off the trunk, the back seat, most of the frame, etc., good thing it was front wheel drive.  I'm up to 15 MPG and saving even more gas cause I don't drive as much.  I took off the hood but the motor gets wet in the rain.

The other seat is for my wife, if I get rid of her I can take the seat out.

I thought the big wheels go on the back.  (editor)
